The July 31st card is probably one of the best in Bellator’s history. Lot’s of good names, even if the actual fights are rather easy to predict the outcomes.
For the September 13th show…. The Pitbull/Nunes fights stinks of a cost cutting match-up. Most likely, both fighters get money above and beyond the tournament fee, so they are being matched up in the first round to knock one of them out automatically.
First time I have seen Bellator coverage here and I hope it continues.
So I guess you’ve only been coming here for the last 5 days then?
The Sept cards arent part of the summer series though, they are the start of the fall tournament.
Only June and July cards were summer series cards this year.
And that July card is the best Bellator event they’ve done.
It is usually very unfortunate when a fighter has to pull out of a fight for whatever reasons (especially injury)….but with the case of Dave Jansen, man was it a blessing! Totally looking forward to that entire card (let alone Chandler/Rickels). But Matyushenko/M’Pumbu……yuck! I used to be a big fan of Matyushenko (even after that awful fight against Tito Ortiz) but now? Hell no! Either Vlad will grind out M’Pumbu into a boring decision, or M’Pumbu will crack Vlad with a right hand early. I see no other way of this fight going. Not even a late stoppage for either guy, nor a triangle choke victory for M’Pumbu (or Vlad obviously). This will not be pretty, unless M’Pumbu knocks him into retirement.
