All he gets out of this is being more relevant to the division than he currently is at 170 where he’s going to be stuck right where he’s at (as either the #2 or #3 ranked guy) and nobody wants that.
But at 185 I don’t even think he’d string together enough wins to be a gatekeeper. That size disadvantage will kill his wrestling game. And he has nothing but that, so what top fighter could be beat at Middleweight?
And the thought of Fitch-Okami is greatly disturbing. That fight would make time stand still.
Fitch-Okami FTW.
