  1. Damn, I was on the verge of starting BJJ classes, but I’m going to switch to full-contact arm wrestling.

  2. Big Bill Bob says:

Lol this is an absolutely bizarre concept, leave it to another original creator/owner of UFC to make something so stupid. The only thing I have some interest in seeing from the old UFC crew is John Perrettis new full contact lawn bowling league.

  3. Fluyid says:

So long, MMA. I’m on the XARM train!

Please switch this site over to one that covers XARM, Zach. Thanks in advance.

  4. The Gaijin says:

The YAMMA, XARM…what could possibly be next?!?

  5. Zack says:

    Wow..that was hilarious & awesome.

  6. Fluyid says:

“The YAMMA, XARM…what could possibly be next?!?”

I think we all know the next step in the evolution of combative sports: an XARM fight in the YAMMA.

  7. J Frank says:

I think we’ll be better off ignoring xarm completely.

  8. H says:

At least they didn’t try to sell this on PPV, unlike YAMMA.

  9. Ultimo Santa says:

Next step: Full Contact Kickboxing mixed with Mini-Putt.

I thought this was a joke at first, and was waiting for it to get hilarious. It just got more depressing as it went on.

How is this even legal? TAPING two men together, strapping them to a table and letting them punch each other with one arm?

“How is this even legal? TAPING two men together, strapping them to a table and letting them punch each other with one arm?”

Let’s see Peretti’s lawn bowling top that!

Seriously, it wouldn’t shock me if they are taping these dumb things without the knowledge of any commission wherever they may be. You know how the commission usually signs off on the glove job by signing the tape around the wrist? I didn’t notice any of that on these “fighters.”

  11. Chuck says:

Speaking of stupid, gimmicky combat sports……anyone remember Real Pro Wrestling? Or how about Chuck Norris’ World Combat League? Who knew “fights” with a lot of spinning and cartwheel kicks would produce sloppy, toughman-like contests?

  12. Matthew says:

I love how they try to put over the duct tape.

It can hold a plane together…lol

  13. Chuck says:

The best was when Lapua was talking about his opponent, he said “Going against….uuuuhhhhh…..what was his name again?”

Not only do the XARM people know little about fighting, but I guess they know even less about editing. They really couldn’t re-shoot it and tell Lapua his opponent’s name, so he could get it right? Good lord…

  14. CapnHulk says:

Am I the only pronouncing it as ZARM, instead of ECHS-ARM?

Zarm sounds like a Superman villian, which could totally help with the promotion of this fine sport.

  15. kutti says:

i´m looking forward to ultimate-xarm with barenux..this one´s for pussies

  16. Jim Allcorn says:

    kutti:

I’m sure Art Davie seriously considered that option, but with these matches taking place in a tournament format too many of the “athletes” would be unable to continue due to busted hands. Thus the gloves.

  17. Jim Allcorn says:

I was pretty alarmed by this \”sports\” existence yesterday, but after watching this match in it\’s entirety & thinking it over, now I\’m saying f uck it. Who cares?

I\’m not going to get up on a soapbox & rail against it like so many do gooders did against the UFC & MMA years ago. Even though this is a helluva lot closer to \”human cockfights\” than MMA ever was, so what?

If these folks really want to do it for the possibility of a mere ten grand, let \’em. I seriously doubt that anyone\’s going to make a career out of it & the novelty will wear off quickly. And take the \”sport\” with it.

Let\’s just hope that if/when Gary Goodrich does get involved that he doesn\’t main or kill someone.

And if he or someone else does as I posed yesterday?

Sure, the UFC & MMA will get dragged through the mud initially due to guilt by association. But,( & I may be giving the media & the general public too much credit here, but let\’s hope not ) the fact that said injury occurred during a bizarre, illegitimate offshoot of MMA will be found out & Art Davie & his cohorts telecasting this thing will take the heat for it.

  18. jr says:

    “from the producers of Slamball…”

  19. SharkTank says:

    Early UFC guys current projects

    XARM
    YAMMA
    Iron Ring

Who’d a thunk Iron Ring is the best of the bunch.

  20. brashleyholland says:

I’m looking forward to Rorion Gracie’s Ultimate Curling Championships.

Just like normal curling except the opposing team get to beat the shit out of you with their brushes while tied together.
