Ken is not really gonna do this is he.. Tompkins is a stand up machine..

Tompkins IS a great stand up fighter, but I gave him a loss.

Or my judging did anyhow back in 2000 when he fought Amir Abdallah in Cheektowaga ( a suburb of Buffalo ) in Abdallah’s pro debut. Which was a competetive fight, but which the hometown fighter won 49-47 on my card. He was just too quick & busy with his hands for Tompkins in my view.

Though if leg kicks had been allowed I think the outcome may have been quite different!

Shawn & I actually go way back to the late ’90s together when he’d bring his fighters down to my hometown of Lockport,NY to compete in Abdallah’s boxing/kickboxing cards there. One of whom I’m pretty sure was Sam Stout.

Back then, I was alternating between cornering fighters & judging bouts. And always was in rotation for the ISKA to score Tompkins’ guys fights. Who I always thought won their matches, but was frequently out voted 2-1 by the other two judges who were ( unfortunately for Shawn & his fighters ) more home biased for the locals than I ever was.
After which, I always made it a point to chat with Shawn afterwards to assure him of who REALLY won. Something he always appreciated. He was always cool & a gentleman before, during & after the fights. So, I’m very happy for his big time success now.

Though, he DOES still owe me a t-shirt from in place in London, Ontario! LOL

As for the possibility of Shawn fighting Shammy, good for him.

It’ll give him a nice quick, impressive win over a big name in his first match back into active comp..
