Thursday random notes (11/8)
By Zach Arnold | November 8, 2007

Hotmail has changed over to its new Windows Live format (which is hideous). Does anyone know how to turn off the “rich text” format for e-mails and go to a text-based format? I didn’t see it anywhere in the options panel.
From the CSAC:
Jennifer Tate, who last competed for Pro Elite on October 26, 2007 in Santa Ynez, has tested positive for Marijuana. Her suspension runs from the conclusion of the bout on October 26, 2007 through January 24, 2008. She has been fined $500.

Todd Martin’s article is retarded.
Jennifer Tate = Stockton = get blunted
Bernard Hopkins is correct. The competition has forced boxing to make many fights that would have taken years to make happen.
Joachim Hansen was already a borderline Top 10 fighter in my eyes anyways. He is out of the Top 10 now. He is 2-4 in his last 6 fights. That Lightweight Ranking really is wide open. To me, the top 5 are (in no order): Gomi, Sherk, JZ, Melendez, & the winner of Penn/Stevenson.
Wouldn’t you say JZ has more big wins at LW? Or are you also counting his fights at 170?
Did you consider Hermes Franca or Florian top 5 or even top 10?
What is your criteria for enterting the top 5 or top 10?
Hansen is top 10. He has been going through some sort of life change and it has definitely affected him! He is super talented. I don’t know how the heck he fell into that GoGoPlata against Aoki. Aoki is next to god but still!
My post was comparing Sherk to JZ obviously. I was asking if you were counting Sherks wins at 170 in regards to your hypothetical ranking of him @ #2.
Zack my advice would be to ditch hotmail altogether and try out maybe gmail. Hotmail is the spam capital of the world wide net.
I don’t think a fighter’s wins or losses outside of his proper weight class should affect his standings in said weight class.
“Hotmail is the spam capital of the world wide net.” lol, true.
JZ vs Sherk would be the fight of the year.
“It’s really getting out of control between Randy Couture and Dana White. Notice how the UFC President always chooses Yahoo Sports to issue comments to the fans through the media.”
Zach, I know you picked up on the facetious nature of the article but your comment here doesn’t show it….
Loved that duelling press conferences spoof article…great choice, Zach!
