LOL @ the Sherdog summary of the second round. I almost tapped out of boredom in the 2nd. Awful, awful second round.
Also Glibau practically destroyed the atmosphere by playing human blanket to Terry Etim.
Awesome venue though, amazing atmosphere and so far two of the fights have been very entertaining.

Great reffing by Yves Lavigne…both with the amount of time he gave Sakara to recover, and for not stopping the Marcus Davis fight when he got dropped and was getting pounded on.

Kongo got equal boos and cheers at the announcement. Mirko didn’t get that much of a big reception even during the introduction from Buffer.

PRIDE was the wild west, outlaw territory. Whether or not guys were on steroids, painkillers, recreational drugs, etc. the fact is that the environment in UFC is a bit different than PRIDE.
That was an embarrasing first round for Bisping
I want everyone to keep in mind what Luke Thomas said about Matt Hamill being in the UFC on the 9/1 edition of Inside the Cage radio. 🙂

I know they gave round 3 to Bisping, but which of the other two could you, in good conscience, give to him? Hamill DOMINATED the first, and he DOMINATED the second!
Actually, in honesty, it’s a shame that North American judges hate on the 10-10 round so hard. 29-29 would’ve been the righteous score.

Is Cecil Peoples judging?
One of the worst decisions in a long time.
Cecil Peoples, if Iole is right, is one of the judges tonight.
Judges Jeff Mullen, Cecil Peoples, Doug Crosby and Andy Roberts.
Cecil Peoples and Jeff Mullen had it 29-28 Bisping.
I have this terrible, sinking feeling that Hendo V Rampage is going to get booed like crazy.
I watched round 2 again. Still giving it to Hamill, but I’ll grant that it was at least close. 29-98 Hamill is the score I’d go with overall.
First round Hamill all the way (10-9)
2/3rds of the second round to Hamill (10-9, 20-18 total)
3rd round to Bisping all the way (9-10, 29-28 total)
Here’s hoping for a UFC title fight lasting more than 12 minutes. What it do, baby.

Controversy
Cecil has been accused by many of participating in the fixing of fights in many different sporting events in which he was a judge. Most recently was the decision for Mike Bisping who clearly lost the match to Matt Hamill. Cecil Peoples has been voted the worst judge by many online MMA sites.

Dalby Shirley is far worse than Cecil, AND he’s the worst judge in the history of boxing, no easy feat.

Bisping’s “victory” is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in this sport. What two rounds did he win? In fact what one round did he win? Horrible.
