Malice at the Palace Sept 9th results
By Erin | September 10, 2006

Update: On Monday, the California State Athletic Commission claims that one of the fights was fixed. The fighters and promoters involved in the show deny the charges.
Big thanks to the Full Contact Promotions people for haveing me out, especially Jeff and Eric who were increadably nice. For those that are interested in my more detailed report, chck it out at MMA California.
The show took place at the Cow Palace in San Francisco and there was a good sized crowd, about 6,800 from what I have heard. The show started a little late, but not unforgivably so. Plus everyone was still out getting atuographs from Chuck Liddell.
- Nick Theotikos defeated Josh Hancock round 1 via TKO.
- Marco Falcon defeated George Rodriguez round 1 via rear naked choke.
- Alaneder Crispim defeated Gigo Jara round 1 via rear naked choke.
- Moses Baca defeated Dave McMillian via split decision
- Jason Pietz defeated Vincent Perez round 1 via Kimura
- Marlon Sims defeated Sal Guillena round 1 via TKO
- Brian Ebersol defeated Shannon Ritch round 1 via tapou
- Jeremiah Metcalf defeated Jaime Hants round 3 via TKO
- Nam Phan defeated Aric Nelson round 2 via TKO
- Urijah Faber defeated Enoch Wilson Round 2 via cut.
- Jake Shields defeated Steve Berger round 2 via TKO
During the second break (due to missing EMTs) Chuck Liddell, Frank Shamrock and Phil Baroni were all brought into the ring to give breif speaches. While it wasn’t officially announced, Baroni vs Shamrock was strongly hinted at, but no time or promotion was named. I would guess an upcoming Strikeforce show, but that’s purely just speculation.
Overall a good show, damn good considering that this was Full Contact Promotions first one. Their next show will be back at the Cow Palace on January 20th and I would strongly suggest that any MMA fan in the bay area try to make it out to the show.
