Fight Opinion Radio: Episode 23
By Zach Arnold | September 7, 2006
This edition of Fight Opinion Radio turns a new leaf, as we welcome in new lead host Jeff Thaler. Jeff is a former agent of many fighters (including Babalu), and he brings a unique perspective to the radio show that I think you will enjoy. On this week’s show, we have a recap of the UFC 62 event, a preview of the upcoming PRIDE event in Saitama, plus discussion on the futures of both Mike Tyson & Kurt Angle.
As you have surely noticed, Rob Sayers has taken a leave of absence from the show. In the last couple of months, Rob has faced many challenges in his personal life. Rob was a very integral part of the Fight Opinion project, both with his programming skills and his radio show hosting duties. I cannot express my gratitude enough for what Rob has contributed to us and, more important, to me personally. He was a very important person in getting this web site up and running from the beginning stage to what this site has transitioned to today. Rob is a very good human being and deserves all the accolades he receives. If you would like to send mail to Rob, you can e-mail him at [email protected].

Nice work getting Thaler on board. Can’t wait to listen.
Prayers for Rob Sayers…
Awesome show guys.
Jason – if you thought the show we actually were able to record was good. You should’ve heard the show we lost due to technical difficulties. It was far superior to this one.
Jalapeno – we all share your sentiments. The thoughts and prayers of the entire Fight Opinion family (including regular posters on the board, and the main site) are with Rob right now.
Hi guys, great that you’re back.
I’ve got to say though, a lot of moaning going on, even moaning about Misaki doing his dance and saying that it makes him come across as desperate. Sometimes is good to just ENJOY something without picking it apart. Even if you dont enjoy it, it doesnt affect you negatively and many other people will think it is good fun, myself included.
Great that Jeff has some contrasting opinions too by the way. Whilst I loved the show before, the two most prominent words were “I agree”, even if the person saying it didnt even agree.
My thoughts with Rob and his family too.
That would be Jeff talking about Akihiro Gono.
Personally, as “that wrestling guy,” I fully understand what Gono is trying to accomplish with the gimmick. He was not getting any publicity as a fighter before he started doing it. You do what you have to do to market yourself.
