It just sucks, Ryan was a great guy, a pioneer in mma journalism and broadcasting and will be sorely missed. Such a loss to the mma community. I’ll remember him fondly.
What in the fuck is that all about? That’s my #1 site I hit everyday, he just had a story of the UFC what, 2 days ago? Now he’s dead?!?!?
It’s not like a family member, because I haven’t got hit hard, but when they die, I know it will suck x10 more than this. My god that’s sudden, I knew he was a writter, but he was one of the few people who would take MMA in the mainstream, especially because of mmaweekly.com besides sherdog, that’s the biggest mma site in the world.
Hit a few forums, they didn’t know what he did. Hell, mmaweekly wasn’t his best bit, he did color commentary for countless MMA shows.
He did 400x more within mma than me and ppl who are reading this now ever did, his life was all about MMA and to make it into a real sport. We can only do so much, but it’s up to television to make it into a reality.
Of course we’ll supprt MMA, let the networks make it into a mainstream sport.
Ryan Bennett was a great man, before Ryan started MMAweekly its was very hard to find current mma news. I am so sad about this, right now I am listening to his last show archive to take my mind a little off this death a little. By listening to the show we also got to know his whole family specialy his wife Tania. Guys please if you can donate some money to Ryans Fund at mmaweekly.com 🙁 we will miss you brother!
RIP Hitman. You will be missed.
That’s a fucking shame. I barely ever went over to MMAWeekly, but still. Rest In Peace dude.
