The LA Times on UFC 58

Dan Neil of the Los Angeles Times (in their magazine section) has an article about his recent attendance at the UFC 58 show in Las Vegas, NV. Neil, unlike most mainstream media writers, admits up front that he came into the show with the mindset of a critic about the sport based on what he had heard in the past.
Conclusion: There’s nothing wrong with this sport. It’s the fans who are mental.
I tend to agree with him about the fans that did show up for the UFC 58 event in Las Vegas.
I appreciate seeing two nearly naked men beat the hell out of each other as much as the next guy—but that next guy, boy, does he have issues.
Labeling UFC a “blood sport,” and then being disappointed when “there’s never enough blood.” There is a solution, of course: Bare-knuckle boxing – now available on DVD.
