WAGA TV: Benoit’s doctor’s office raided

WAGA TV (My FOX 5 in Atlanta) is reporting that Federal authorities (Drug Enforcement Agency) have raided the office of Dr. Phil Astin, Chris Benoit’s personal doctor. Astin publicly told the Associated Press that he saw Benoit last Friday and had prescribed testosterone.
And yet another bizarre twist to this story. I hope MMA never has to deal with a story like this…

Could this be another Dr. George Zahorian scandal (which led to Vince McMahon’s steroid trial)?
Its funny, that Doc’s give people HGH because they’ve taken too many steroids. How about the truth: The doctor gives people HGH to pay his bills.
I think that the severity of the case in regards to Benoit has created enough of a frenzy that people and agencies are going to react in such a manner that results in the problem, or a link in the problem getting resolved.
The Wikipedia thing was already out there on Monday and from what I’ve seen there are any number of ways (IP redirect, time zone difference or falsification) that it could have been done beyond the conspiracy-tastic “WWE knew they were dead and immediately put it on Wikipedia” theory.
