Under any type of judging Ricco should have gotten the win. I watch that fight occasionally, and still I for the life of me can’t understand how Nog was given the decision. Same with the Randleman vs. Rutten title fight.

If we want to play guessing games then you have to assume Cro Cop and Nog in their primes would be 2004-06 so who would they face in the HW division in UFC then: Mir, Arlovski, Sylvia, Monson, Kongo, McGee, Kimo, Cabbage, Abbott, Rodriguez, Rizzo, Telligman, Couture, ect. Even if you keep in that Kongo beat CC, Mir beat Nog and under UFC judging Rodriguez might have been given the decision against Nog they’d still do fantastic.

Wait how are you going to claim that Fedor beat CC and Nog in their prime then turn around and boast over his wins over AA and Sylvia when they weren’t in their prime?.

Nog and CC were both in their prime when they came to the UFC and they both got their ass beat by better fighters period. AA and Sylvia were both shells of their former selves by the time they left the UFC.

The fact is Nog, CC, Werdum and Herring were all predicted to come to the UFC and dominte and all 4 have been demolished in the cage. The only difference between them and Fedor is he is smart enough to know he would get wrecked aswell and wants no part of it at least they took on the challenge.

I really dont see how one can look at how Noguiera and Cro crop have done in the UFC and then claim Fedor would struggle like that. I mean does anyone really believe Fedor would struggle to beat Herring, lose to Gonzaga and Kendo get kocked out by Frank Mir. I just cant accept that.

Fedor is not Noguiera or Mirko. His better than that. The guy always finds a way to win.

Yes, Fedor’s rep was built on beating Nogueira and CroCop IN THEIR PRIME (not today’s versions).

But Fedor has reconfirmed his #1 status by dispatching Sylvia, Arlovski and Rogers.

No other HW has (so far) racked up a similarly impressive record. Not Lesnar (a win over Couture and 1-1 with Mir). Not Carwin (a win over Gonzaga). And not Velasquez (wins over Nogueira and Kongo).

Um, because Fedor has more of a sound strategy than “take 100 punches for 1 takedown” and doesn’t need to see a shrink to work up the courage to even fight?

Not saying he’d for sure win because nobody knows until it happens. But he’s smarter than Nogueira and has 3 dimensions to his game unlike “look for a headkick” Cro Cop, so that makes him entirely different. The only thing they have in common is they worked together 4 years ago.

To be fair, Fedor has so many mindless nuthuggers it’s (proper use, unlike liger05) unreal.

45 does hate on everything not UFC. That is a fair point. But seeing what happened to Nog twice now against young, agile and big heavyweights with quick hands you have to reevaluate the myth of Fedor.

Look at Fedor’s record. What’s there beyond Nog and Cro Cop? Those guys have gotten their asses handed to them in UFC. Why would you think Fedor would be magically different?

Kinda funny how everyone got on 45.

You guys really have to put in so much work when all he did was say that he wishes strikeforce didn’t sign Fedor. So what he hates strikeforce?
Rundown:
CB beat Reljic. Looks like Melanson was wrong again.
Bader Kod Jardine. Keith should probably go up against someone brand new next.
Bisping still looked halfway decent and Wand looked a little bit like the Wand of old. Of course he didnt have an opponent who could punch in front of him. I had Bisping winning 29-28 until the late barrage and knockdown from Wand.
Cain looked great. If Nog wants to keep fighting he should definately work his way back up by fighting someone like Congo next.
Good night of fights. Not great but good. Lytle with a fuckin Kneebar! Now that was awesome.
