This article says that Versus will air two UFC events next year. What?

Should be an exciting event based on the match-ups, even if it doesn’t have any really meaningful fights.
If the WEC us really going to run monthly events, which I like, they need to get a Flyweight Title.
This main event does nothing for me, but the rest of the televised card look sweet.
I really don’t get how Ratliff deserves this fight. One win over last two years against a relatively unknown opponent doesn’t scream ‘contender’ to me. The only reason he got booked is because he will stand in front of Cerrone. I am all for picking style matchups to get an entertaining fight every now and then, but not in a main event. Masin events should mean something, and this fight is nothing more than a ‘keep busy’ fight for the Cowboy.
However, as nonplussed as I am by the main event, the rest of the televised card looks great. You’ve got a world class grappler in Yaya, a world class striker in Njokuani, the debut of former IFL poster boy Horodecki, a couple of incredibly scrappy bantamweights in Jorgenson & Mizugaki, and a chance to see how Benavidez rebounds from the first loss of his career.
I guess Versus will be home to the European events not even SpikeTV wants to broadcast.

You’ve got to figure out how to win fights instead of how not to lose them outright.
He gets out of everything, gets up every time he’s knocked down, but meanwhile the other guy is ahead on everyone’s scorecards.
Good solid event, despite none of the fights meaning much.
Herb Dean showed why he is (in my opinion) the best ref in MMA. Standing up Cerrone after he used the fence to get a takedown was fantastic to see.
Awesome show. Cerrone needs to really work on his hands and head movement. I know he thinks he is invincible because he can keep guys off with his kicks, but he is playing a dangerous game; his hands lag really far behind his kicks.
Horodecki (sp) needs to move to 145 or 135. I don’t know how anyone can come into a high-level fight at 155 and expect to win looking softer than a roll of 2-ply toilet paper. He is also 5′8.
So, is there any real reason to watch this if you already know the results? I might watch Horodecki getting crushed on Rutube or something but otherwise the whole show feels totally irrelevant.
Also, what’s up with Brown coming back at the next show and fighting a total tomato can? Apparently its not cool to point that out or something?
It had a good 2 hours of solid MMA. All of the fights were fun to watch. Not sure if knowing the results ruins it though….
It’s typical WEC stuff…. Small guys are much more exciting then the bigger ones, despite not getting as much attention. But this was definitely wasn’t one of their big shows….. The next one is pretty stacked for a WEC….
As for the Brown fight…. That is not typical of the WEC to give such an easy fight to a fighter. Wonder if they feel bad for him for the beating he took from Aldo. The guy he is fighting really has no chance…..
