An update on Tim Sylvia vs. Ray Mercer

By Zach Arnold | June 13, 2009

Print Friendly and PDF

When the controversial Greg Sirb in Pennsylvania reportedly stepped in and warned promoter Monte Cox about Tim Sylvia vs. Ray Mercer being a boxing match in a cage, the fight was changed to an MMA rules bout. Well, Ray Mercer told The Birmingham News that he simply plans to box against Sylvia tonight at the BJCC.

Tim Sylvia showed up in blogger-shape at 310 pounds at weigh-ins on Friday. He has to make a cut to 265 pounds to face Paul Buentello in August.

CBS 42 has video footage of the press conference.
