I think "average" is a bit of an under-sell.

I think he has the ability in theory(not necessarily that he actually will in practice) to hang with most of the guys in the upper tier. So if by "average" you mean, "he'll be competitive with the top dogs and get dusted by Silva", then I agree.

As I saw mentioned elsewhere, they're well positioned to start making in-roads for a South Korean show with a signing like this. Now bring in Akiyama!

Kang was beating up on Mousasi before he got caught in a submission. With that said, I think Mousasi is a bad match-up for him anyways.

I think Kang looks average in the UFC. That is my prediction.

Kang gets scooped up by the UFC following his impressive stoppage over Marvin.

I guess we'll see exactly where Kang shakes out in the grand scheme of the MW's and more interestingly, it might give us a better indication of the actual objective level of talent of guys like Mouassi, Akiyama and Misaki.

Kimbo Slice's wage demands are too big for Sengoku. I know his $500k purse versus Petruzelli was inflated because he was paid compensation for taking that fight on such short notice but he still made $175k versus Tank Abbott on Showtime. He probably made somewhere in between $175k and $500k against James Thompson on CBS.

Gomi gets paid 20 million Yen last I heard (almost $200k American) a fight and Yoshida for sure gets more than that but Kimbo Slice isn't a name in Japan like those two. I think it's more likely he'll be fighting for DREAM (if they still manage to exist after K-1 Dynamite).

Any word on Kimbo fighting NYE in Japan?

I really think he could be successful out there. They would love a big scary black guy like him.
