That sounds more reasonable to me. Thanks Ice. But I rechecked that other piece (it's linked in the Affliction tumbles piece) and it does say they backed away from eachother in general. So obviously they reported wrong.

Chuck-

It wasn't a "blow-up". The partnership for their rumored MMA promotion fell through, which is true. Golden Boy has announced it is backing out of the MMA market. That doesn't mean Golden Boy banned Affliction sponsorships from their boxing shows. You've associated two separate and unrelated events and came to the wrong conclusion.

Here's the article in which ODLH announces GB has decided to stay out of the MMA market.

Apparently, Vegas gaming companies (casinos) are having financial problems.

Tropicana is filing reorganization papers...

We all know how gaming and fights are connected at the hip in the US, so this could potentially be a big deal.

About the Affliction piece, it also said that Affliction allegedly had a blow-up with Golden Boy Promotions (which was reported on in March). I guess that was untrue since this past Saturday's fight (Oscar De La Hoya UD12 over Steve Forbes) was sponsored by Affliction. And when Bernard Hopkins fought Joe Calzaghe Hopkins was wearing an Affliction shirt after the fight. So either the alleged blow up didn't happen or they patched everything up in due time.
