  1. ttt says:

henderson vs franklin is the next logical fight in the MW division. definitely would be Main Card material, not sure what would happen to Hendo if he did lose. he hasn’t had any “Lutters” to build up on.

no mention of the K-1 event in Amsterdam? Bonjasky vs Manhoef makes Le vs Shamrock look like the sparring match it was

  2. David says:

I listened to the majority of the recent radio show with Shayna and Barnett but I don’t understand exactly the problem Josh has with Eddie Bravo. I am guessing it’s bout Bravo being a “mark” taking credit for rubber guard?

    help?

  3. ilostmydog says:

Barnett and Bravo had a spat on the UG about the merits of catch wrestling IIRC. Perhaps it could have arisen from that?

  4. klown says:

Henderson will probably beat Franklin, but a loss shouldn’t be held against him. He’s like Wanderlei Silva. Sure, he’s lost 3 in a row, but look at his opposition: Henderson, CroCop, Liddell. That’s why I keep Silva high in my rankings, despite his losing streak.

Losing to Rampage, Anderon Silva and (possibly) Franklin is better than winning against most fighters.

  5. Jeremy (not that Jeremy) says:

It almost seems unfair to keep putting Henderson up against such tough opponents though. I’m sure he wants to fight the best available guys, but this isn’t doing his record any favors, and could shorten his career.

I think that Franklin is still a dominant guy in middleweight, even though he can’t seem to get past Silva. Silva’s really in his head too, you could almost smell the fear through the television before their last fight.

About half of Henderson’s losses are by submission, about half of Franklin’s wins are by submission. If Franklin brings the fight to the ground…I would give him the edge 7 out of 10 fights.

  6. ttt says:

it’s easy to forget henderson is 37, a true veteran of the sport, who knows how much longer he’ll stay?

in terms of his submission losses, one was to Rogerio, one to Rodrigo who was much bigger, and the recent one to Anderson Silva trained by the above. i wouldn’t count those submissions losses against him at all

  7. Jeremy (not that Jeremy) says:

Well, you’ve got to count someone’s losses. MMA fights rarely end in a draw.
