“Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Andrews Nakahara (Kyokushin karate)”

That’s about as much of a gimme fight as you can get. Kang/Mousasi is very intriguing though.

  2. ttt says:

i thought Sakuraba had a scab or something that he couldn’t fight

this japanese MMA stuff is confusing. although so is Saturday’s Strikeforce card

  3. sprewellrimz says:

it’s Saku being Saku. you’d think people weren’t dumb enough to believe him by now.

  4. Columbia Lou says:

Sakuraba being given an easier opponent is good. Sakuraba was the guy in the past who was fighting 220 to 230 pound top fighters, fighters who were around 35 pounds heavier. Sakuraba should be fighting grapplers with poor to average striking. Dream should match the top strikers against each other, so they eliminate each other. I am suprised they didn’t match Sakuraba against Tamura.

  5. Dave says:

This looks like your standard, crazy mismatched Japanese card. Funaki/Tamura interests me on sooooo many levels.

  6. Columbia Lou says:

Tamura vs Funaki. Both guys trained in Japanese shootwrestling/catch wrestling. I’m guessing a lot of leg kicks and leg submission attempts.

  7. Anonymous says:

Cool first round match ups. Seems like they’re trying to set up Sakuraba vs. Tamura in the second round.

  8. David says:

Who thinks its awesome that Gary Shaw is defending Diaz’s drug addiction? I use cannabis as well, but come on!; rules are rules!

  9. Ultimo_Santa says:

I’m watching Bob Sapp on ‘Pros vs. Joes’ right now on SpikeTV.

I’m halfway expecting Sapp to get KTFO by one of the 160 pound Joes in the first round.

  10. The Gaijin says:

^ I was thinking the same thing…I would have DIED laughing. Unfortunately they didn’t have a sweet clue how to fight…I don’t think I saw one punch thrown at him and some of the worst leg kicks of all time.
