“Midnight Meat Train” is a film adaptation of a CLive Barker short story from his first volume of “The Books of Blood.” I haven’t read it yet, but I think it’s about cannibals.

I dunno huddle, I think there are a lot of parrellels here. Do you watch the HDnet covered events? The stats they have are awesome and really help the layman get in to it. The inside MMA program is really pro as well, makes me think of the NFL network. If this is just the babysteps I am really excited as an MMA fan!

The Turner Cable Stations are a completely different story. His stations (TBS, TNT, CNN), were created during the infancy of cable. Being at the infancy of the HD age is much different. There are already 100+ different channels available to viewers. The ability for a new station to become a powerhouse in 2 years is beyond unlikely at this point.

You have to think that HDNET is in it\’s in infancy. This is exactly how the TBS the superstation was when it started. They are pushing the HD format and are needing content. TBS got the atlanta braves to fill up the airtime. HDNET is playing friggin movie preview. But the MMA content is starting to get pretty effing sweet. The broadcast team is super pro. Cuban knows HDNET is kind of empty right now, but he sees MMA as a way to get it out of the cellar. And let me tell you it is way better than the FIGHT network mma wise.

Serious. check in 2 years HDNET will be huge and it will be the undisputed home of MMA. MMA is also be huge.

Indeed. Ask The NFL Network about the power Comcast has in pushing your channel (or not pushing it). Comcastic, whether or not their customer service stinks (or not).

HBO attracts a more affluent audience (which is what I think you’re trying to suggest), or at least an audience that has shown a propensity of spending more disposable income on a TV/PPV product.

Josh Gross has an interesting article up at Sherdog about Mark Cuban and HDNet. Gross kind of misses the mark on two major points. 1. HDNets is an insigificant channel until it is picked up by Comcast. Additionally, the channel has to be offered by DirecTV as part of their main HD package. It is currently only available for an additional $5 per month and most people just don't care or know enough about this channel to make that switch. 2. While HBO only has 30 Million subscribers, it is the strength of their customers that is so important. Most people I know who have HBO are more likely to purchase a PPV. It is just the type of customer they attract. There is an absolute loyalty to that station by millions. The same cannot be said for HDNet or Showtime.
