Thanks for the plug! I usually do a prediction for most of the big shows, not like I am every right though.

I enjoyed all the fights. None went to decision. The TUF stars Mac and George scored flawless victories. The other TUF fights were also impressive. Huerta-Guida is an epic fight, I'm still reeling from it.

Huerta vs. Guida was an awesome fight. Might be a finalist for fight of the year, but of course, it won't beat Diaz vs. Gomi for the actual fight of the year award.

And once again the finale was much better than any of the UFC PPV shows lately.

Dana blew the damn announcement for tomorrow. He stated Griffin was THE #1 contender, then said that the coaches will fight at the end of TUF Season 7. Obviously, it's Rampage.

PBF-Hatton was a decent fight, but I wasn't falling for the dramatic. Hatton's style was completely nullified by Cortez early. He wasn't allow any inside game at all. Regardless, Mayweather was still much faster and there is no way Hatton was beating Mayweather even with the inside boxing he wasn't allowed to do.

lol at boxing being only 2 fights this year, and at Hatton being unknown, while at the same time this thread is about Clay Guida, who maybe 300 people on Earth would recognize...

The PBF-Hatton fight was really dramatic and exciting, and both men looked good/ showed lots of skills/heart. PBF-Cotto will be enormous..

Hatton has no business at 147, he is like 5'5 and has short arms. At 140 he is the best in the world, but he was dwarfed tonight--PBF had like a 5 inch reach advantage.

I think Cotto has a decent shot at beating Floyd because he is huge, actually has a jab (Hatton leads with his face), and is a big body puncher. PBF really will have his hands full with any of the top 3 guys at 147 (Williams, Cotto, or Cintron) because they are all big, fast, and hit hard. Obviously Floyd would have the speed and skill advantage over them, but he would be in for a real test against any of those guys, as he was tonight..

@ Ultimo:

Umm...Pavlik - Taylor, probably bore a star draw for boxing.

Cotto-Mosely, Vargas-Mayorga, Calzaghe-Kessler, Hatton-Castillo.

Just a bit bigger than 2 fights bro.

@ Ultimo Santa:

Saying boxing in 2007 was two fights merely goes to show that you probably don't follow the sweet science.

Great night of fights! I didn't watch it, but I seriously doubt Mayweather and Hatton is as exciting as what the UFC gave us.

Huerta vs Guida is my vote for FOTY. A frenzied non-stop pace, excellent wrestling, solid BJJ, exciting standup exchanges and a come from behind finish. Wow!

Huerta vs. Guida was a top 5 fight from 2007, no doubt. Both men are bad-asses. Huerta needs maybe 2 years of polishing before fighting for the title, but he'll get there.

K-1 tournament was a bit of a let-down. Le Banner got injured, Badr Hari got robbed, and Shilt wins in an anti-climactic finish.

I had to turn down the volume for the entire show as the three color men were Akebono, Ernesto Hoost and Ray Sefo. One of these men would have been bad enough, but all three? JESUS...

What was boxing in 2007? TWO fights. That's it. Oscar/Floyd, which was an absolute embarrassment to the sport of boxing (and it's broken scoring system), and then a SIX MONTH build-up so Floyd can beat a relatively unknown Brit.

Mainstream media: please let this sport die. It doesn't deserve the insane, 24/7 coverage.

Gotta think the other coach is gonna be Rampage.

Think about it - they name Forrest as the #1 LHW contender and then he's gonna be in their flagship show that culminates with him fighting the other coach on PPV.

It'd be pretty dumb to name someone your
#1 contender and then have them tied up for the next five months building towards a fight with someone other than your champ!
