I just had the misfortune of watching “Bad Blood: Jens Pulver vs BJ Penn”

It was trash. I couldn’t watch past 10 or 15 minutes.

(A lame show on SpikeTV with Dana White, Randy Couture, Joe Rogan all raving about how Jens and BJ don’t like each other)

I have to agree that the move to FL is smarter than doing the forum (though the Forum is in my backyard and I was definitly looking forward to the finals). The show in Vegas was nice because the smaller venue made it look packed. Down side was some idiot forgot to put a mic under the ring so there was no noise for any of the slams or punches and that basically made the whole crowd quiet. But when the Scorpions and the Lions tangled the hometown crowd came alive and it ended up being a pretty good show. IFL definilty needs to stick to small venues as it looks pathetic when using a giant place like the Forum and then onlyusing half of it.

As for th Olympic suggestion…its an awesome venue but do u know how much it is to run there? I use to help run some indy wrestling feds and my god the Olympic aud is one of the MOST expensive places in Cali, and for the size its just not worth it. Literally single handidly sunk ECW and XPW back in the day…ah the memories.

Strange move by the IFL. It only makes sense if they’re doing a good rating in Southern Florida. If they’re smart they’ll book Kimbo on that card.

You’re going to have The Anacondas vs either the Pitbulls or Silverbacks (I think Pitbulls). So you have no team that is local and none of the athletes from any of those teams are from Florida. They’ve never run a show from there before and have likely never heavily promoted the area.

If they’re pulling in a strong local rating and think they can pack the building with a hot crowd this makes sense. They need a good crowd for the championship. Why not just run the Grand Olympic Auditorium in LA? You can get 3,000 people or so in there.

Sounds 100 times better than the LA Forum. Nice to see them realize that smaller buildings is the way to go.

One more walkover for Bisping will be one too many. Hamill would be so much better. But I also am intrigued by the prospect of Bisping – Shamrock, just for name and novelty value.
