Paulo Filho is going to the WEC, and NOT the UFC. This means Zuffa is really serious about building up that brand. Obviously, Mayhem and Filho will meet at some point.

The SpikeTV/KOTC rumor has been going around Sherdog’s forums. I don’t go on there much, but it was one of the 5 to 10 main topics shown on the home page. I clicked on it just to read it. It is just some angry Zuffa fans trying to make up BS rumors.

SpikeTV would never go with KOTC. It looks second rate without question.

Let’s say Fishman does win this case, he’ll still have to goto Japan to get their courts to enforce a ruling made in America. And how is he going to do that against a company that can’t even afford to pay their own employees. This case is a total waste of time and money.

I would think that if KOTC followed the UFC blueprint on Spike, we eventually may see a changing of the guard on the US mma landscape.

The angle I’m curious to see is if there are any hidden contracts or deals that haven’t been publicly or privately discussed that could surface. Whether or not it would impact the PRIDE asset sale, who knows (likely not), but it could give the average fan at home a peak into the way business was done in Japan.

How would he get that if they sold it? I think the only thing Fishman gets out of this is money, there’s no guarantee he’ll get that either.

pride will never die, an event that sells out that many seats will always be developed, hopefully former disgraced pride prez will start a new promotion to take off where pride left off
