  1. Mr. Roadblock says:

I like Briggs. I always pull for Brooklyn fighters. But he won’t be a champion for too long. Well, unless Don King protects him.

  2. Donut62 says:

Crappy weekend of fights. Sergei deserved to get knocked out. Briggs was gassed from walking to the ring, and those beautiful combos we saw against Brewster were gone as well as his defense. Briggs would get crushed horrendously by Wlad.

  3. Psygone says:

Briggs is promoted by Cedric Kushner, Don King is Lyakhovichs promoter. King may get kick-backs for some future fights but I don’t believe he has promotional power over Briggs.

  4. Mr. Roadblock says:

He does now. Briggs left Cedric Kushner in June when the proposed fight with Wladimir Klitschko in Madison Square Garden (set to take place Nov 11) fell through. Briggs signed with King. King put Briggs in with Liakhovich. Klitschko is now taking on Calvin Brock this Saturday, in a fight that should thoroughly suck.
