They really didn’t mean to say this…

Quote of the day (from MMA Ring Report’s PRIDE 31 preview) on Josh Barnett vs. Kazuhiro Nakamura:

Barnett might be larger but in his last fight (vs. Mirko Cro Cop) he demonstrated that he has the capacity to lose any fight. KazNak is like mecha-godzilla; created by Japanese scientists to battle whatever giant monsters appear to threaten Japan. Still, Barnett has a lot of “junk in the trunk” and KazNak may have trouble getting the wide-load gadunkadunk of Barnett onto the mat. Add that to the superior kickboxing skills of Barnett and the result is: Barnett wins a close decision over the smaller, less experienced fighter.

Buy some Josh Barnett merchandise so he can continue to be a “wide-load gadunkadunk.” That’s some hard-hitting blogosphere journalism right there.

  1. Some of us in the “blogosphere” don’t take ourselves as seriously as you do. Some of us don’t consider ourselves “journalists”. I found it very funny and perhaps that is what it was meant to be…funny.

I’m sure if you visit my blog you would have a field day if you consider “wide-load gadunkadunk” to be on bad journalistic taste.

*note to self…gadunkadunk is a funny word, use in the future*

We have a winner already for someone who didn’t grasp the tone of the post. *laugh*

So Japanese scientist created a lame take-em’-to-a-decision grappler with little-to-no finishing power, who’s so boring that he’s now hated in his own uber nationalistic country of japan. Oh sir, I believe you give them too much credit.

BTW Nakamura’s had 13 fights, over the course of three years. Where as Barnett’s had 19 over the course of nine years. so if anything experience would be in Nakamura’s favor.

Anyway it’s all for not as Josh Barnett submitted Nakamura in the first round. Too bad he didn’t come in at like 220 like Coleman did. Anorexic Barnett vs. Bloated Nakamura is a money match for 2k6.

Oh, I’m sure it was meant to be, too bad about that…

What is funny is how he was 1-9 in calling the fights. I guess stuff like that doesn’t matter when you don’t take yourself seriously though.

Someone seems to have humor and ignorance mixed up.
